I am having my ovaries removed &a Hysterectomy. What can I expect afterwards?

hi, im 50 this yr, i had a total hysterectomy 2 yrs ago. i was terrified, scared about the anaesetic, scared about the pain, and scared about not feeling like a real woman anymore, well i had a small needle in the back of my hand and the next thing i was awake again and it was all over,i was in some pain, but nothing like i was expecting, only had the morphine drip until following morning, asked for it to be removed, as it made my skin itch,y, they removed it, washed me, and sat me out of bed, sore, but not in agony,walking about later same day, kept in hospital for 5 days as i had a urine infection, back home, no housework or lifting for 6 wks,day 7/8 bit tearfull, night sweats, hot flushes bone pain. in my hands, feet, took hrt for few wks tablets did not really help, had hormone implants fitted every 6 months, due them again at the end of the month, but had some problems with my (lumps) so not going 2 have them fitted this time as the lumps are hormone related,all in all the hysterectomy was the best solution for my problems,you 2 will be just fine life begins after hysterectomy, best wishes, xxxx
