Will Sprint charge me for going on AIM?

Okay, so I have the Motorola Red Razr v3m from Sprint. I just found that I can go on AIM with it. I was wondering if I get charged for logging on and staying on AIM without sending any IMs. Would I get charged by the minute or data received?
