Question for guys, he's mean to me because he doesnt want a relationship...crock excuse?

He probably really liked the fwb situation, and wanted it to continue just as it was. He probably still wants it to continue the way it was. If he made it clear from the start that all he wanted from you was to be fwb, you crossed that line a little bit when you told him you'd be in a relationship with him if he lived closer. You're right when you say he should have just asked you if you wanted more instead of treating you badly. But you can't unsay what has already been said, and he probably is freaked out. If you only want to be fwb, then keep telling him that, and maybe things can be more like what they used to be. But he may always in the back of his mind wonder if you're planning on trapping him in a relationship he doesn't want.
