I asked a girl to the middle school banquet today. she just sort of ran away?

like when she was with her friends I sort of pulled her away and asked her. then she ran away. she's sort if avoiding me a little. we were pretty good friends before. does she not like me or is she stunned or could it be too early?. I would imagine she prolly would have said yes or no straight up to my face. she just got red a little. giggled then ran away
