My hair dye didn't work?

I agree. You would have to prelighten your hair to get it the right color. and yes you can always color you own hair lighter WITHOUT going to a salon. you just need to know the proper steps. There are hair color removers. They will remove previous hair color off the hair. it doesnt remove all but most. giving you a clean enough slate to chose another color. I wouldnt do anything to your hair for a few weeks. especially if the color looks good and is tolerable to you. Good luck.
