Im almost 40 yrs old and my dad still feels compelled to dole out 'friendly' advice on ....?

mostly anything. He is invited to babysit or housesit once in awhile by my wife then he gives me unsolicited advice on parenting. My oldest is 12 i have 2 other boys close in age who are younger. Also have a stepson who is 20. So Im married and have a wife and more than 12 yrs parenting experience. I tell my dad I dont need advice. Most of the time he tells me his way of doing things or is criticizing my choice of doing parenting. Almost critiquing my parenting. He even gets into arguments with me sometimes(like a power struggle). When I was a kid I was the oldest of two and he seemed to favor the other son. My mom died when i was a teenager she seems to have my best interests in mind. I tell my wife about how it bothers me when Im at home and this happens she doesnt seem to care about it. My dad gets monetary benefits for his time here. thanks.
